Shubhankar Sharma rolled in seven birdies to overcome hiccups on the first and last holes of the third round of the European Tour’s Cazoo Classic on Saturday. The Indian fired a three-under par 68 to end the day tied-19 at the London Golf Club.

He started the day with a bogey before closing with a double bogey, which dimmed an otherwise brilliant display of putting. He had birdies on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 12th and 16th holes.

Shubhankar Sharma made the cut finishing Friday’s second round tied-34th at one-under 141.

He had to endure a tense stretch where he dropped four strokes off the last six holes. His saving grace proved to be the five birdies on the 4th, 5th, 7th, 11th and 12th.

Gaganjeet Bhullar, SSP Chawrasia and Shiv Kapur and Ajeetesh Sandhu -- the other Indians in the fray -- all missed the cut on Friday.

Shubhankar Sharma’s compatriot Anirban Lahiri is tied-29th after 14 holes of the third round at the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, United States.

Anirban Lahiri, who represented India at the Tokyo Olympics, was three-under for the day and seven-under for the tournament when this report was filed.

The Indian made the cut at four-under at the halfway point.

Anirban Lahiri hit 12 of the 18 greens and had five birdies against two bogeys and a double bogey in his second round.

At the Tokyo Olympics, Lahiri had an impressive start when he fired a four-under 67 to finish the first round tied-eighth at the Kasumigaseki Country Club. He, however, couldn't capitalize and fizzled out over the next couple of days to finish the competition tied-42nd.
