Golf diva Paige Spiranac talks about her dream first date: "Any date that is..."

Former US golfer Paige Spiranac has become a social media influencer after retiring from professional golf. She has raked up more Instagram followers than Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

As a sports and media influencer, she is constantly in touch with her fanbase and regularly answers their questions. Recently, she responded to a question that asked her about her first dream date.

Paige Spiranac replied that the date should be personalised and unique for it to be special. The 29-year-old added that she would love it if her date remembered little things about her and incorporated them into their plans.

"I think that any date that is unique and different and personalised. Obviously you will have communication going into the date, and anything I might have said in passing like I love ice cream or I love this or love that and you incorporate that into the date is really special."

Spiranac also commented on today's dating culture. She thinks that these days people only "want to go out for drinks" to get to know each other than for a proper dinner.

Being a sports entity and a social media influencer is not an easy job. They have to overcome a lot of daily challenges and obstacles. One of them is tackling fake accounts.

When asked about the same, Paige Spiranac said:

"This is just ridiculous."

Spiranac's sentiments are completely understandable since she fights numerous fake accounts on a daily basis. She further elaborated on the issue.

"Just recently there was another person who was scammed by a fake account and the scammer goes all out. Like they’ll send fake drivers license, fake cheques, anything you can think of they’re doing it. I report at least 20 fake accounts every single day. Every day."

Spiranac then revealed her methods to resolve the fake accounts problem. She told her fans to check if the messages were coming from her verified account or not. Moreover, she also asked them to look for bad grammar or bad sentence structure.

"They keep popping up, we’re trying to do what we can. A couple keys to look out for is that if it’s not coming from my verified account, it’s not me. And if it’s someone who bad sentence structure, bad grammar, someone who can’t put a sentence together then it’s not me."

However, known for taking issues in her own stride, Paige Spiranac ended her answer on a lighter note.

"Sometimes I’ll see these sentences and I’ll think 'how did you think that was me?'. Like do you think I’m typing at a kindergarten level? It’s offensive honestly."

On the work front, Spiranac recently launched her own website, OnlyPaige, that would feature instructional golf videos and her exclusive pictures. She is certainly creating innovative content to engage with her fans.
