Golfer Lahiri tied 9th at Dean and Deluca Invitational
Fort Worth (Texas), May 29 (IANS) Leading Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri scored two-under 68 to be tied ninth after the third and penultimate round in the $6,700,000 Dean and Deluca Invitational here.
The 28-year-old, who on Saturday completed Friday's unfinished second round and made par-70, has a three-day total of seven-under 203 -- five strokes off leader Jordan Spieth of the United States.
He had played 12 holes on Friday when play was halted due to poor weather conditions.
The Bengaluru golfer then moved to the third round in which he made two birdies on the second, sixth, 10th.
The world No.56 then got two bogeys on the par-four 12th and par-four 15th that took him back to one-under till then.
He recovered with a birdie on the 16th but another bogey marred his good work. However, he ended with a birdie to go out with a two-under 68.
He was tied for the ninth place with Patrick Reed, Matt Kutchar and Bryce Molder.
Meanwhile, world No.2 Spieth hit second straight 65 to grab the lead. One stroke behind, Ryan Palmer carded 66 to share the second place with Webb Simpson, who added a 67 in the third round.
