“He was my partner...he’s so great”: When Paige Spiranac detailed story of how Justin Timberlake started following her on Instagram
Former US golfer Paige Spiranac took up content creation after her early retirement and rose to be a social media sensation. She has amassed 4 million followers over the years.
Despite retiring from professional golf, Spiranac has been a part of the community and is vocal about the happenings in the sport. In 2023, she appeared on the Up and Adams Show with Kay Adams. She was asked who is the one person who follows her on social media and she still can't believe it.
The 'OG Insta golf girl's' answer was Justin Timberlake. She had met the actor-singer at a golf event where she was paired with him against Mark Wahlberg and Gary Player. She revealed the amusing story from the day.
"They were announcing us on the tee and they (Timberlake, Wahlberg and Player) went first. It was so rude of them to make me go last and they (announcers) were going accomplishment after accomplishment after accomplishment after accomplishment and then they like announced me. It was like one thing that they said and I was like, 'Thanks, thank you so much.' That's brutal!"
Spiranac laughed it off and added about meeting Timberlake's wife Jessica Biel:
"But that was such an incredible day and he's so great. He's even better in person and his wife Jessica Biel... massive girl crush on her."
Spiranac teamed up with Justin Timberlake at the Bass Pro Shops Legends Competition at Top of the Rock 2019.
"Not everything you say yes to is going to be a success" - Paige Spiranac
Paige Spiranac spent years creating content and building a platform on social media that she could monetize. In a recent interview with Fox Business, she shared some valuable advice she had received about growing her business.
"First, respond back quickly and respond back to everything. There’s a lot of opportunities that come through your door and always respond back as quickly and as soon as you can."
The 31-year-old further talked about getting out of the comfort zone and doing things despite being scared.
"Second, say yes to a lot of different opportunities," she continued. "That’s something that I have done throughout my career, where there are times when you’re scared, and you don’t feel like you’re capable, and there is imposter syndrome, and everything is [telling] you, 'No, don’t do it, don’t do it, don’t do it.' But the best thing to do is to do it."
And finally, the social media influencer revealed that it was not success that taught her insightful lessons, but it was something else.
"Not everything you say yes to is going to be a success. But I’ve learned more from my failures than I have from my successes. So, being able to fail and learn from it and then grow from that as well,"
Certainly, Paige Spiranac is one of the most known figures in the golfing world today. She recently returned from eight years of retirement to participate in the first-ever edition of the Creator Classic organized by the PGA Tour on the eve of the Tour Championship. However, she couldn't win the tournament.
