How much did Lydia Ko win at the 2023 Aramco Saudi Ladies International? Prize money payouts explored
Lydia Ko won the 2023 Aramco Saudi Ladies International on Sunday. The New Zealand golfer made a strong start to her 2023 season by lifting the trophy at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia.
Ko, who clean-swept all the titles last year, looks focused on repeating the feat. The World No. 1 clinched her third victory in four Saudi Ladies International starts by beating Indiaβs Aditi Ashok by one shot. Her 21-under 267 total was two better than Manon De Roey, Lexi Thompson, and Lilia Vu. Koβs win at her first start of 2023 was nothing short of special.
With the win, Ko bagged the winnerβs share of $750,000 from the $5,000,000 prize purse. The whopping pay cheque at the third event on the 2023 Ladies European Tour schedule was the biggest outside of the majors for female golfers. Meanwhile, runner-up Aditi Ashok won $450,000 for her efforts.
Manon De Roey, Lexi Thompson, and Lilia Vu finished T3 and settled for $235,000 each at the Saudi Ladies International.
