How does Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake's sports bar compare to Michael Jordan’s Grove XXIII? All you need to know
Michael Jordan is an avid golfer who enjoys playing sports whenever he gets an opportunity. The NBA star also owns a golf course in Florida named Grove XXIII. Interestingly, American singer Justin Timberlake also loves golf and has joined hands with 15-time major champion Tiger Woods to create a sports bar named T-Squared Social.
Woods and Timberlake's bar is located on the popular East 42nd Street in New York. It is around 22,000 square foot T-squared club.
The sports bar has a cocktail counter with drinks, which is created by a professional mixologist. The bar features a four-multi sports full swing simulator, an open concert venue and many other luxurious facilities.
It also includes crafted cocktails, canned beers, draft, local and international wines, elevated pub-style dishes, raw bar and luxury box seats. It also has over 35 televisions including a 200-inch flat screen, bowling lanes, and 4 dining areas.
Michael Jordan's Grove XXIII, on the other hand, is an ultra-luxury golf club located in Hobe Sound, Florida. It's a private golf club that includes an 18-hole course, a gatehouse, a practice range, a main clubhouse and a learning facility.
The Clubhouse is extended to around 15,000 square foot area and was designed by Nicolas Architech and Dailey Janssen. It even has drones to deliver snacks and beverages and a pro shop, bar, men's and women's locker room, lounging area and many other facilities.
"A place that combines our favorite things" - Tiger Woods talks about his sports bar
Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake announced the Sports bar earlier this week. It is formed in collaboration between Woods, Timberlake, 8 AM Golf, and Nexus Luxury Collection.
Speaking about the bar in a press conference at the time of its announcement, Woods said (via ESPN):
"The idea for T-Squared Social came to us during a round of golf at Albany, our development in The Bahamas. Justin and I thought it would be cool to create a place that combines our favorite things and brings people together to just have a great time. We always knew we wanted to do something together, and NEXUS gave us the platform to bring our idea to life."
NASCAR star Denny Hamlin played at the Grove XXIII for the first time and was impressed with the course. In his interview in 2020, Hamlin said (via USA Today):
“The course was unbelievable. There’s only 75 members. Hopefully to be 76 here in the next few weeks, so it was really an honor to be invited and be a member at such an exclusive place. It’s really new, just a few months old. It’s going to be fun to do for the next 20 to 30 years, as long as I’m able to play."
The Grove XXIII has a 260-acre golf course which costs around $15 to $20 million as reported by Basketball Network.
