While the 2024 Hero World Challenge features some of the best golfers on the planet, like Scottie Scheffler, tournament host Tiger Woods won't be competing at the event. In a press conference before the tournament, Woods mentioned that he wasn't sharp enough to compete against the 20 men.

He said:

"Still not there. These are 20 of the best players in the world and I'm not sharp enough to compete against them. So when I'm ready to compete and play at this level, then I will... I am disappointed. I'm not physically ready yet to compete at this level. I still need to keep training to give myself the best chance into next year and the events ahead."

The field for the 2024 Hero World Challenge features players like Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark. These golfers set to compete in the event at the Albany Golf Club are from eight different countries.
