Jordan Spieth once called Tom Brady the 'most competitive human being' after beating the 7-time NFL champion

Former NFL star Tom Brady's enthusiasm for golf is well-known, and according to American golfer Jordan Spieth, Brady is extremely competitive in golf as well.

Spieth and Brady played against each other at Augusta National in 2017 and were tied on the 18th hole. Brady found the front bunker on his approach and made a bogey. While Spieth hit his shot tight for a kick-in birdie.

Jordan Spieth won the match and according to him, the seven-time NFL champion didn't take the loss very well. Spieth told Dan Patrick in 2019:

"You’re supposed to go in at Augusta and have lunch and hang out, and he didn’t say a word to me for like an hour and a half. I feel like I’m very, very competitive. He is the most competitive human being I’ve ever met."

Brady's competitive streak certainly helped him in the NFL as the 45-year-old recently announced his retirement after an all-timer career in the league.

US golfer Keegan Bradley grew up in Vermont and is a diehard New England Patriots fan. He was on vacation at Baker's Bay in the Bahamas when he ran into Tom Brady.

With Bradley being a professional golfer and Brady being a golf enthusiast, they set up a match. Bradley agreed to give Brady, who plays with a handicap of eight, 12 shots.

However, the professional golfer was shocked to see how well the NFL legend played. Bradley spoke about the incident on GOLF's Subpar podcast. He said:

"And I win the first hole. I go, 'TB, I’ll give you a buyout if you want,'. I just start chirping. And then he runs off and plays the next 14 holes in four under par. Beats me 6 and 5. He’s really good. I couldn’t believe it. Those competitive juices kicked in and he smoked me."
