Molinari secures sole leadership at Wells Fargo
Francesco Molinari reclaimed sole possession of the lead at the Wells Fargo Championship as round two was belatedly completed on Saturday.
Italy's Molinari was one of several players unable to complete their second rounds the previous day due to storms delaying play.
Yet after restarting on five under - tied for top spot with Seamus Power, Billy Hurley III and John Peterson - Molinari improved his score by one to secure a slender advantage ahead of round three.
Having started on the back nine on Friday, Molinari resumed on the third hole and picked up birdies at the sixth and eighth to reach seven under before bogeying his final hole.
Peterson also had holes to play on Saturday morning and followed a bogey at 16 with a birdie on 18 to remain five under.
World number one Dustin Johnson, making his return from injury this week, completed a 75 in his second round, leaving him seven off the lead at one over.
