$14M tennis sensation picks Jon Rahm and Rafael Nadal in his “dream foursome golf match”
Tennis superstar Carlos Alcaraz has picked Jon Rahm and Rafael Nadal as his dream golf foursome partners. Additionally, he had to apologize to his contemporary for not choosing him.
Carlos Alcaraz is a four-time Grand Slam winner and currently ranked third in the world. In his short career, he has achieved multiple titles and has a net worth of over $14 million. Besides being an active tennis player, he also enjoys playing golf during his breaks.
On Friday, September 14, the ATP tour shared a video on social media where several tennis stars asked some interesting questions to Spanish tennis sensations. One of the questions was from Norwegian professional Casper Ruud, who asked Alcaraz about his favorite golf foursome partners.
"Probably my partner could be John Ram, I have to go with him. If I have to choose tennis player, I could choose Rafa Nadal. So, sorry Casper," Alcaraz replied.
Although Alcaraz loves playing golf, he has admitted in the past that he isn’t as good at it as he is at tennis. However, he also mentioned that it helps him relax and clear his mind.
"I'm so, so bad [at golf], compared to my tennis, I mean, I love playing golf, I'm not too good, I'm just finding balls every time, I can't hit it straight. But it helps me a lot to turn off my mind a little bit and not think about tennis, and relax a little bit," he said during the Wimbledon Championships this year.
What is Rafael Nadal's golf handicap?
While Jon Rahm is a golf superstar, Rafael Nadal is also an avid golfer and is regularly spotted swinging the club whenever he gets time. According to reports, his handicap is around 0.3.
The Spaniard has spoken about his love for golf in the past.
"I love the game of golf in general," the 22-time Grand Slam champion was quoted as saying via Tennis Now. "I was watching all the afternoon the last round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational."
"Golf is great, because you are always in beautiful places when you are playing, and the risk for injury, as you know, is very small," he added.
Rafael Nadal has also competed in several amateur tournaments. Last week, he won the scratch category Robinson Classic, which was played at Vall d'Or Golf Club in his hometown, Mallorca. He beat the 73 other players with a Stableford score of 35.
