He recently took to his Instagram account to share details about the accident and provided an update on his health.

Jeff Guan revealed that the accident happened on the third tee hole during the pro-am event in September. After taking his shot, he turned toward his cart, and suddenly, out of nowhere, he was struck by a ball. Guan was immediately rushed to the hospital and was later airlifted to Canberra for further treatment.

He underwent surgery on the same night as the accident and has since had several other surgeries. It was a challenging time for the 20-year-old, but in his social media post, he thanked his fans, friends, and family members for their support over the last few weeks.

In 2024, Horschel had a promising start on the PGA Tour with a T18 finish at the Sony Open, where he impressed with rounds of 68, 68, 68, and 65. However, after a good start, Horschel missed the cut in two consecutive events, including The American Express and the Farmers Insurance Open.

He won his first tournament of the year at the Corales Puntacana Championship in April and then won another on the DP World Tour at the BMW PGA Championship in September. He was the runner-up at the Genesis Scottish Open and recorded solid finishes on the PGA Tour, T10 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T7 at the Wyndham Championship, and T8 at the PGA Championship.
