
2024 Ping Junior Solheim Cup: Team USA records convincing win over Europe in Virginia
Team USA registered a historic win at the 2024 Ping Junior Solheim Cup by defeating Europe 18.5-5.5. This was their eighth Junior Solheim Cup title out of the 13 editions held so far.
The Ping Junior Solheim Cup started on Monday, September 9 at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. The Americans took an early lead by going 3.5-2.5 in the morning fourball.
It was a one-way affair from there, as the hosts went 4.5-1.5 in the Monday afternoon foursomes before going 10.5-1.5 in the Tuesday singles. Martina Navarro Navarro of Spain was the only European player to win a singles match.
The final score of 18.5-5.5 is the largest winning margin by any team in the Ping Junior Solheim Cup's history. Team USA now leads Europe 8-4-1 in head-to-head matches at the biennial event.
