2024 Spanish Open Round 3 tee times and pairings explored

The 2024 Spanish Open is all set to kickstart round 3 on Saturday at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. Countryman Angel Hidalgo is currently leading the standings, 10-under, after two rounds.

British golfer Joe Dean is following Hidalgo in the leaderboard with six-under. The two golfers, along with Alfred Garcia-Heredia, are paired for the final tee-off at 13:10 (local time) in round 3. The star of the show was countryman Jon Rahm. Although there were doubts over his participation after he sat out of the LIV Golf Team Championship recently, owing to flu, he was in action in Madrid. He will tee off at 12:59 pm (local time) along with Sam Bairstow of England and Patrick Reed of the USA.

Rahm had fought long and hard to take his place in the Spanish Open as well as other DP World Tour events. Initially, he was denied entry into the tour events due to his status as a LIV Golfer, however, he appealed and was granted an entry in the 2024 Spanish Open. It will be an important juncture for his Ryder Cup campaign.

The 2024 Spanish Open is a standard stroke play event played over 72 holes with a cut after 36 holes, that is round 2. Hence, round 3 will feature a concise field. In total, 23 groups have been drawn for Saturday. The first tee-off will take place at 8:48 am (local time). The first tee pairing is of Andrew Wilson of England, Kristian Krogh Johannessen of Norway and Daniel Hillier of New Zealand.
