The Tour Championship was Scottie Scheffler's seventh victory of the 2024 PGA Tour season. Not since Tiger Woods in 2007 has a player won seven or more Tour events in a single season.

With the $25 million he earned at East Lake, Scheffler's season earnings now top $54.2 million. To that total must be added what he received from the Comcast Award and what he is expected to receive as part of the Players Impact Program (PIP). His total earnings for the year are estimated to exceed $70 million.

The victory was Scheffler's 13th of his PGA Tour career. According to golf statistician Justin Ray, the current world number one is the player who needed the fewest days to go from his first to his 13th victory on tour (since 1960):

  • Scottie Scheffler, 931
  • Jack Nicklaus, 1,029
  • Tiger Woods, 1,113
  • Johnny Miller, 1,225

Scottie Scheffler's earnings for the 2024 season, including his FedEx Cup paycheck and Comcast prize ($8 million), are $829,710 per round, $3.3 million per tournament and $12,000 per shot.

However, both his FedEx Cup winnings, Comcast winnings and PIP winnings are unofficial earnings. Therefore, he sets the PGA Tour single-season earnings record at "only" $29.2 million.

This also sets Scheffler as the second-ranked player on the PGA Tour's all-time money list, ahead of Phil Mickelson and behind Tiger Woods.
