2024 Wyndham Championship Friday weather update: Will heavy rains continue on Day 2?
The first round of the Wyndham Championship witnessed tropical storm Debby along with rainfall forcing the play to be postponed until Friday, August 8. The conditions were so unplayable throughout the day that not even one group could start the play.
The first round of the Wyndham Championship will start on Friday, not before 9:50 am ET. However, as per the weather forecast the conditions are not going to improve much on the second day at Sedgefield Country Club.
As per Accuweather.com, rain is expected on Friday due to the effect of Tropical Rainstorm Debby. Around 91% chances are of precipitation. The conditions might improve post noon but it will be quite humid with maximum temperature reaching 89°F.
Passing showers will be a possibility in the afternoon. The southwest winds will blow at the speed of 7 mph with a gust of 13 mph.
The Wyndham Championship will be the last event of the PGA Tour's regular season.
