$218 million-worth LIV Golf star has a $113k payday at Andalucia Masters
Jon Rahm's recent outing at the Andalucía Masters was quite successful. The Spanish golfer, playing in his home country, finished sixth in the tournament.
Rahm, with a net worth of $218 million, teed it up at the 2024 Andalucía Masters, his third consecutive event on the DP World Tour, on Thursday, October 17. He played some impressive rounds and finished solo in sixth place.
The Spaniard earned €104,900 ($113,974) in prize money courtesy of that finish. The tournament had a purse of $3,250,000, with the winner receiving a check of $553,589.
Julien Guerrier won the event after defeating Jorge Campillo in a playoff. After four rounds, both tied for the lead at 21-under. However, ultimately it was Guerrier who clinched the title. The French golfer started his outing on the DP World Tour with a round of 62. He then played three more rounds of 72, 63, and 70. Meanwhile, Campillo shot rounds of 64, 65, 68, and 70.
Daniel Brown settled in solo third place and earned $205,153.86 (€188,820), while Rasmus Højgaard and Jordan Smith tied for fourth place, each earning $150,446.17 (€138,468) in prize money.
