The PGA Tour saw a few rookies in 2024 who displayed their skills and won tournament titles along with hefty paychecks. Last year, when Ludvig Aberg, Vincent Norman, and Nico Echavarria were rookies, they won PGA Tour events like the RSM Classic, the Barbasol Championship, and the Puerto Rico Open, respectively.

#Matt McCarty
Matt McCarty won the inaugural Black Desert Championship in Utah. This was the PGA Tour's last-week stop and the Tour’s first return to Utah since 1963. McCarty won the tournament with a score of 23 under. He shot one eagle in the opening round and seven birdies. His score after the first round was 62.
Following that, he shot five birdies in the second round to score 68 and seven birdies in the third round to end up at 64. In the last round, he dropped four birdies and one eagle to settle the score at 67.
McCarty’s second PGA Tour start in 2024 was the Black Desert Championship. He played at the Sanderson Farms Championship before that to finish at T63.
#Nick Dunlap
Nick Dunlap showed his golf skills at the American Express and lifted the tournament trophy with 29 under. Dunlap shot five birdies and two eagles in the opening round to land at 64, followed by seven birdies in the second round to finish at 65. Next, he carded ten birdies and one eagle in the third round to score 60 and four birdies in the last round to land at 70.
Dunlap didn't stop with one PGA Tour trophy in 2024. He went on to win another at the Barracuda Championship, where he scored 12-7-11-19 over the four rounds.
#Matthieu Pavon
Matthieu Pavon won the Farmers Insurance Open in 2024 with a total score of 13 under. He shot five birdies in the opening round to finish at 69, followed by eight birdies in the second round to land at 65.
Pavon’s third and fourth-round scores were 72 and 69 as he shot three and five birdies, respectively. Apart from Pavon’s Farmers Insurance Open win, the golfer had a T3 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Jake Knapp won the Mexico Open with a score of 19 under. The golfer shot five birdies in the first round to finish at 67, followed by seven birdies in the second round to land at 64. Knapp carded 11 and two birdies in the third and fourth rounds to finish at 63 and 71, respectively.
