44-year-old Lucas Glover comes out as a 'Swiftie'; Says the $1.5B-worth singer's concert was 'pure entertainment'
Lucas Glover, the third finisher of the 2024 Black Desert Classic, comes out as a ‘Swiftie’ and a pop music lover. Glover shot 19 under in total at the PGA Tour event and finished behind Matt McCarty, who won the event.
Following that, Glover joined the SiriusXM PGA Tour radio on October 24 and shared that he attended a Taylor Swift show, which had him entertained for more than 3 hours. The 44-year-old added that his daughter's jovial face in the $1.5b worth singer's show was an added bonus
“I’ve seen a lot of concerts and I know you guys have too- mostly jam bands, southern rock, the typical stuff for people our age. This was 3 hours and 20 minutes of pure entertainment. Joy seeing my daughter's face made it 50 times better and probably because of that. And we went with my bestfriend from college and his 16 year old daughter is probably the best show I've ever seen just because of seeing them,” Lucas Glover said.
He continued, “ And the joy they had but Molly Gilbert, my best buddy Brant’s daughter if it can be legally known about Taylor Swift, she knows it. I had a really good time picking her brain and learning some things I didn't know. But that woman is seriously talented and she went 3 hours and 20 minutes non stop in the rain. And it was just a heck of a show and I'm almost 45 years old. And as masculine as they come and I've got no problem saying it.”
Lucas Glover had two top-ten finishes on the PGA Tour in 2024, including the Sanderson Farms Championship, where he finished at T3.
Exploring Lucas Glover’s family
Lucas Glover and his wife, Krista Glover, got married in 2012. The couple have two children, Lucille and Lucas Jr. The couple welcomed Lucille in 2013, and two years later, they welcomed their son.
Glover is a family man, and he shared with the People in 2024 that he'd like to stay close to his family.
“I don’t get to see these guys as much as I’ve wanted to because I haven’t been playing that great…Maybe I can be home a little more. I’m too old to be on the road this much. I’ve been busting my hump, so I can be with them, and be with my wife, and I’m so happy,” Lucas Glover said.
Krista is supportive of Lucas’ golf career and has been there in his highs and lows. In 2023, she went to cheer for her husband at the 2023 Wyndham Championship. Later, Glover won the tournament title. Krista was also in attendance at the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship, where Glover lifted the trophy. The golfer's family also joined him in 2024 as he received the Order of the Palmetto.
