5 big-name golfers missing from the initial Grant Thornton Invitational 2024 field ft. Ludvig Aberg
The second edition of the Grant Thornton Invitational 2024 is set to take place from December 13 to 15 at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida. Sixteen pairs of top-ranked PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players will compete over the three-day event.
Several top players from both the men’s and women’s circuits will be in action next month, including Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu, Lydia Ko, Rose Zhang, Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau, and Tom Kim. However, several big names are missing from next month’s field at Tiburon Golf Club.

Five popular names are absent from the Grant Thornton Invitational 2024
1) Ludvig Åberg
Ludvig Åberg was part of the inaugural edition last year but will be missing from action this time since he is still recovering from injury. Last year, the Swedish superstar was paired with his fellow countrywoman Maja Stark and finished third.
Åberg was last seen competing in the playoffs, where he finished 16th in the FedEx Cup.
2) Charley Hull
Charley Hull is another big name not competing at the Grant Thornton Invitational 2024. Last year, she paired with Justin Rose and tied for ninth. Hull was last seen competing at the Maybank Championship, where she made a T12 finish.
3) Justin Rose
Hull's last-year partner Justin Rose is also missing from the action at Tiburon Golf Club. He last played at the Open de France, where he made a T13 finish.
4) Ruoning Yin
Ruoning Yin is another top female golfer who is not playing in the Grant Thornton Invitational 2024. Last year, she paired with Nick Taylor and finished solo eighth.
Yin has won two titles in the past three weeks, including a win at the Maybank Championship last Sunday.
5) Nick Taylor
Yin's partner Taylor has also opted out of the event this time. He was last seen at the Zozo Championship, where he tied for 33rd.
