5 exciting team-ups to watch at the 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational ft. Lydia Ko and Jason Day
The Grant Thornton Invitational is a team competition that will take place from 13 to 15 December at the Tiburón Golf Club, Naples, USA. The event will have around 16 teams, and every team will have an LPGA golfer paired with a PGA player.
Now, there are a few teams that are fan favorites, and here's a look at the five such teams to watch at the Grant Thornton Invitational.

#5. Jason Day and Lydia Ko
The World No. 33 Jason Day is paired with World No. 3 Lydia Ko for the 2024 Grant Thornton Invitational. The pair won the tournament last year with 26 under. They shot 58 in the opening round with 12 birdies and one eagle. Followed by 66 in each of the third and fourth rounds with seven and six birdies, respectively.
Both Day and Ko are in good form in 2024. Day had four top-ten finishes on the PGA Tour this year and Ko had seven top-ten finishes on the LPGA Tour.
#4. Nelly Korda and Tony Finau
Nelly Korda and Tony Finau played in the last edition of the Grant Thornton Invitational and finished at T4 with 23 under. The pair scored 56, 70, and 67 over the three rounds.
The duo will return to Tiburón Golf Club this year in good form. Especially Nelly Korda, who won six tournaments on the LPGA Tour. On the other hand, Day had four top-ten finishes on the PGA Tour.
#3. Rose Zhang and Sahith Theegala
Rose Zhang and Sahith Theegala have experienced playing at the Grant Thornton Invitational since they were paired last year. They finished at T9 with a score of 20 under.
Both Theegala and Zhang will be fighting for the trophy. Theegala is also in great form with nine top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour, including two runner-up finishes at the Sentry and the RBC Heritage. Also, Zhang played well in the 2024 LPGA events and had a triumph at the Cognizant Founders Cup.

Lilia Vu and Luke List will play the team event for the first time. Vu had a triumph on the LPGA Tour this season and had four top-ten finishes. Her playing partner Luke List had one top-ten finish, a runner-up place at the Genesis Invitational.
#1. Celine Boutier and Matthieu Pavon
Celine Boutier played with Harris English last year and finished at T12. But in this edition, she's paired with Matthieu Pavon.
Boutier had three top-10 finishes this year, which includes a runner-up finish at the HSBC Women's World Championship. Pavon had four top-10 finishes this year, including a triumph at the Farmers Insurance Open.
