5 things you didn’t know about Scottie Scheffler's caddie Ted Scott
2022 Masters winner Scottie Scheffler is having the best days of his career. He has won six PGA Tour events dating back to 13 February 2022. Having turned professional in 2018, Scheffler has won eight tournaments in his career so far, including one major tournament.
A huge share of his success is certainly given to his caddie and friend Ted Scott, who is helping him on the course. Here are five things you might not know about Scottie Scheffler's caddie Ted Scott.

1) Ted Scott is a golfer
Ted Scott is best known for supporting and helping Scottie Scheffler on the course. However, rarely do people know that he is an amazing golfer.
Although Scott is not a professional golfer, he has a plus-4 handicap in golf. His knowledge as a player and coach made it easy for Ted to help Scottie.
Scott, who played on the mini-tour, helped Scheffler's swing coach Randy Smith in reporting the golfer's shots and improving them.
2) Ted Scott caddied for Bubba Watson
Scott had a successful career as a caddie. Before joining hands with Scottie Scheffler, he used to work for Bubba Watson.
Ted and Bubba have played together in numerous tournaments and he helped Watson win the Masters in 2012 and 2014. He also worked for Paul Azinger and Grant Waite before joining Watson.
Ted Scott possesses greater experience helping players at Augusta National Golf Course and this has become an advantage for Scottie Scheffler.
3) Ted Scott had almost retired once
Bubba Watson and Ted Scott split their ways in 2021, after which the caddie was considering retiring from his job and taking up teaching as his career.
Scott used to give coaching to amateur golfers after he split up with Watson. However, Scottie Scheffler called him and he was back in the game. Scott has been with Scheffler for two years now.
4) Ted Scott is a fooser
Ted Scott has been in sports since his college days. However, besides golfing, he is also pretty good at foosball and won the World Foosball Championship in 1994.
His passion for the game forced Paul Azinger to play with him.
Azinger talked about his fooser game in his interviews, sharing his experience playing with Scott and others. In one of his interviews, Paul revealed:
“It was a little bit like 'Silence of the Lambs' walking in the basement going down there to play foosball. There was 25 people in there, nobody smoked downstairs, it was really hot, had this eerie lighting, concrete block walls, and here I roll in, here comes the captain, and I promise you, not five people knew who I was. They were all totally sweating and totally into their foosball deal."
5) Scott loves music
Ted Scott is a multitalented person. Besides sports, Scottie Scheffler's caddie also loves music and is said to have taught piano to the star golfer.
His friend Tesori, who is currently serving as a caddie for Webb Simpson, revealed that Ted enjoys trying out new things. He is a heckuva dancer.
