Bryson DeChambeau gearing up to compete against PGA Tour rivals in an exclusive match
DeChambeau has been enjoying some time off since the conclusion of the 2024 LIV Golf season earlier in September. However, he will soon be returning to compete in a much-anticipated tournament called "The Showdown." This event is making headlines as it features LIV golfers facing off against PGA Tour players.
Bryson DeChambeau will be teaming up with fellow LIV player and five-time Major winner Brooks Koepka. They will face Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy from the PGA Tour.
DeChambeau shared news about the match on his X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:
"It’s official, Brooks and I will be taking on Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlory in a 18 hole match on December 17th. This is going to be one for the ages!"
He also shared another post about The Showdown by posting the world ranking of all four players. As Koepka and DeChambeau have competed on LIV Golf, their world rankings have dropped, placing them below McIlroy and Scheffler. Taking a humorous jab at the rankings, DeChambeau jokingly wrote:
"Hmm I guess we’re the underdogs @BKoepka😂"
Intriguingly, Koepka replied in the comments section saying:
"Always been 😎"
The 2024 Showdown will take place in Las Vegas on December 17.
