Amanda Balionis outs her favorite egg nog recipe, shares holdiays-special video
Golf reporter Amanda Balionis recently shared her favorite egg nog recipe in an Instagram reel on Monday, December 24. Balionis sported a bright red, strapless top with a bow-like design with black jeans in the clip and made her favorite holiday drink "CraigNog."
Balionis, who has covered golf for over a decade, started the video by wishing everyone holidays. She then showed the viewers a package containing "CraigNog," a bourbon-infused eggnog.
"The most enduring traditions of the season are best enjoyed in the warm embrace of kith and kin… and Craig Nog” -Clark Griswold. I may need some practice perfecting the @elijahcraig Craig Nog recipe, but the process was worth its weight in entertainment," she captioned the reel.
The CraigNog package included:
- Sugar
- Glittering star anise pods
- Cocktail picks
- A "CraigNog" container.
- A mini bottle of Elijah Craig Small Batch bourbon
Amanda Balionis then shared that she hadn't cooked in quite some time. She said:
"Transparency, I’ve not cooked in a long time, but I am counting this as me being back in the kitchen."
She then combines eggs, sugar, cream, and milk in a single bowl and immediately regretted and said:
"We were not supposed to combine that egg and sugar with the cream and milk. You know what? We're just gonna do our best."
However, as she continued cooking, she realized things were falling into place.
"This is looking good though, I thought I really messed this up, but I don’t think I did," she added.
The 38-year-old then shared that the mixture has to be refrigerated for 4-6 hours and Craignog should be served with a full bottle of bourbon. At the end of the video, she said that she also intended to record people's reactions to tasting her craignog at the holiday party later that night.
Amanda Balionis praised Aaron Rai for winning the Wyndham Championship this year

The 29-year-old won his first PGA Tour tournament in his 89th start. Balinois shared the picture with Rai and wrote:
"Aaron Rai rounds out the list of incredible champions that have graced our weekends on @golfoncbs this season! The Englishman had come excruciatingly close so many times over the years and to watch him come out on top on a week like this was fitting. Nothing about this week was easy."
Amanda Balionis shared that she talked to Rai's caddie Jason Timmis who was emotional after the win but said that "it was undoubtedly worth the wait." In 25 starts on the PGA Tour, Aaron Rai had six top-10 finishes and 13 top-25 finishes. He finished 23rd in the FedExCup standings.
