Amanda Balionis rocks leopard print top to support 7-time Olympic champion's venture
CBS Sports PGA Tour reporter Amanda Balionis has gained a lot of popularity ever since she joined the world of golf reporting. On the social media platform Instagram, Balionis boasts more than 300k followers with whom she regularly stays in touch via posts and stories.
In one such stories post uploaded by Balionis, she was spotted in a leopard print dress, supporting a 7-time Olympic champion's venture. The 7-time Olympic champion in question is retired American track and field athlete Allyson Felix. Balionis shared an image with Felix that you can check out below.
The photo Balionis uploaded on her story is originally from a post by Allyson Felix. It was from an event related to Always Alpha, a management firm founded by Felix, which, as per the company's website, is the first management firm fully focused on women's sports.
In her post, Felix expressed her gratitude towards Balionis and all the other people who attended the event. She concluded her post by writing that together, they are "breaking barriers and paving the way for the future of women's sports."
Amanda Balionis has a charity organization and works for a cause close to her
The way Allyson Felix works for the betterment of women's sports, Amanda Balionis also works for a cause close to her. The cause in question is a charity organization for dogs. Those who follow Balionis on her Instagram know about her immense love for dogs.
Balionis also uses Instagram to upload stories and help find shelter for dogs. Four years ago, she took a step further in this direction when she launched a charity organization for dogs named Puppies and Golf.
In an interview with Golf Digest in 2020, Balionis spoke about how Puppies and Golf came about. The idea behind starting a charity organization for dogs came from one of her friends.
"A friend of mine owns an apparel company called “Puppies Make Me Happy,” and I thought, “Why don’t we do a ‘Puppies and Golf’ shirt?” We’ll have all the proceeds go to K9s for Warriors, so even if I can’t physically be volunteering, it’s still a great way to give back and, more importantly, spread awareness about this national organization."
It's worth noting that before Balionis joined CBS Sports, she worked with Callaway Golf. In the same interview with Golf Digest, she credited her former company for contributing to Puppies and Golf.
"Callaway also joined the cause, allowing me to take over a hole at “Links at PetCo Park” and created some limited edition wedges that went up for auction. With all of that, we were able to raise over $30,000 and sponsor a dog," Amanda Balionis said.
Apart from her charity organization, Amanda Balionis' love for dogs made the headlines on National Dog Day this year when she shared an image of her gallery and showed that she had 4,758 photos of dogs.
