Amanda Balionis rocks shorts with a blazer as she shows her Friday outfit in New York, sitting out of the FedEx Cup

The FedEx Cup is currently underway with the first event being the St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. However, CBS sideline reporter and golf broadcaster, Amanda Balionis, has chosen to sit out of the famed tournament.

Balionis, who bid an emotional farewell to golf recently, has decided to pause reporting on the sport and focus on the NFL for the coming months. One of the most acclaimed golf reporters, Balionis has interviewed several top stars and has been covering the sport extensively for the past eight months.

On Friday, Amanda Balionis took to Instagram to share her outfit with her followers. The 39-year-old donned a black blazer, matching shorts, and a white shirt. She paired the ensemble with black sandals and dark shades.

In her story, her location was tagged as New York, meaning that she will not be in Memphis, Tennessee, where all the golf action from the St. Jude Championship is happening currently. US golfer Denny McCarthy and Japanese golfer Hideki Matsuyama are currently leading the pack as the second round is ongoing.

"This year had it all. From historic moments to heart-shattering events and every other emotion you can imagine in between. I love this game. I love working in sports. Competing at the highest level requires and produces constant examples of inspiration, drama, unbridled joy, resilience, growth and teamwork."

She added that fans could catch her reporting on the NFL next season. Amanda Balionis has covered both college football and NFL in the past, and is often seen interviewing head coaches or quarterbacks on the sidelines.

"It's an honor to be a very small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend. If we left you with one new favorite player, or one memorable moment you shared with loved ones then we have done our jobs. Catch ya on the NFL sidelines until next season!"
