Anthony Kim supports Donald Trump in election campaign, hopes the result 'isn't being manipulated'
Anthony Kim has officially put his two cents in on the 2024 American Presidential election. The LIV Golf star has thrown his weight behind former president Donald Trump, who is trying to take on and beat a Democratic challenger for the second time in three attempts.
Kim took to X this morning to say:
"Looking forward 2 the results of a #election that hopefully isn’t being manipulated Donald Trump & #JDVance will win & #MAGA & #KamalaHarris & #timwalz will finish top 3 behind #MegynKelly after her speech #trump2024 #girldad #mentalhealth"
The golfer is referring to the alleged interference with the 2020 election in which Joe Biden won the presidency over incumbent Trump. The former president made unverified and unsubstantiated claims that the election was stolen from him, and Kim would like to see a controversy-free election this time around.
This comes not long after Trump was actually talking about Kim's tour. The 45th president said earlier today that he would have had the LIV x PGA merger done in minutes if he were involved.
Other golfers like John Daly have also voiced their support for Trump. Bryson DeChambeau invited the former president onto his YouTube channel for an episode of Break 50 as well.
Anthony Kim firmly supports Donald Trump for president
One peek at Anthony Kim's official X profile makes it clear who he is supporting in the 2024 presidential election. His statement above is far from the only time he's spoken about Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and politics.
Kim questioned why Harris didn't reveal which way she voted on an issue in her home state of California before adding a series of pro-Trump hashtags to his post. He also said via X:
"Being consistent with effort & attitude is all u can control. Look at the election Donald Trump does multiple appearances & rallies a day while Kamala Harris cooks up wordsalads. A few will get upset about the truth but."
Kim has also made a few claims that Harris may be on drugs. Those are also unsubstantiated, but the LIV Golf star said in one tweet that he remembers "answering questions like [Harris did]" before he went to rehab to sober up.
It is and has been election season in the United States, and Kim's X page reflects that. Anthony Kim's profile has a majority of political and presidential tweets dating back several weeks.
The election will conclude on November 5, though the vote counting could take a few days thanks to early voting and mail-in ballots. Either way, that time will come to an end, though Kim may still be involved politically and voice his opinion regularly even after the election has been decided.
