Anthony Kim recently took another jibe at trans athletes while criticizing the media for downplaying LIV Golf. He said that the media would be okay with trans athletes competing in women's sports but would ignore LIV Golf.

Kim is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour who now plays on LIV Golf. He joined the Saudi-backed circuit at the start of this year, marking his return to professional golf after a decade.

On Monday, September 23, Anthony Kim congratulated Ripper GC for winning the Team Championship. However, in his post, he took a shot at the golf media.

"Congrats to the Ripper GC," he wrote. "Media like Golf Channel that say LIV isn’t thriving & trending upwards are probably okay with man playing women's sports🤷‍♂️. Thankful to H.E. and MAJED for their support in my journey back at LIV Golf League. 1% better 2day!"

Notably, this is not the first time Kim has bashed the trans athletes openly. Earlier this month, he had slammed LGBTQ+ campaigner Peter Tatchell for supporting trans-Paralympian Valentina Petrillo.

The three-time PGA Tour winner had also come in the news for criticizing Algerian boxer Imane Khelif.

"We live in a crazy world where it’s acceptable for a male to beat up a female in the Olympics? 4 everyone that thinks it’s ok i have a #mentalhealth facility that has helped me u should check out. As a #girldad its infuriating that hitting a woman is ok 2 anyone," he wrote last month.

How did Anthony Kim perform at the LIV Golf Championship?

Anthony Kim finished 56th in the LIV Golf Individual Championship, which concluded last week. He made his LIV debut in Jeddah and went on to play eleven events this season as a wildcard. However, he failed to break into the top ten in any event.

Kim began the season with a 53rd-place finish and did not finish inside the top 50 until LIV Golf Houston. However, after that, he consistently finished within the top 50, with his season-best being a 36th-place finish at LIV Golf Greenbrier.
