John Daly's relationship with Hooters explored
Two years ago, Hooters signed a multi-year brand deal with Daly and his son, John Daly II, the defending champions of the PNC Championship. The father-son duo was appointed as name, image, and likeness (NIL) ambassadors.
"Hooters is thrilled to make our long-standing relationship with John official and to enter an exciting new venture with Little John as our first NIL ambassador," Bruce Skala, Hooters of America senior vice president of marketing said in his official statement.
"John’s larger-than-life personality makes him an ideal representative of Hooters’ fun-loving spirit, while Little John will promote our brand to the next generation as one of the next big names in golf. We are ecstatic to have the Dalys, fantastic golfers and great personalities, on board as spokespeople for Hooters, the definitive 19 th hole," he added.
The 58-year-old golfer was last seen competing at the Constellation Furyk & Friends earlier this month, where he withdrew after shooting 72 and 79 in the first two rounds.
This season, Daly made just one top-25 finish in sixteen events and withdrew from three of them. He played in two major championships but withdrew from both events after the opening round.
