“Arguably the best bounce I’ve seen” - Jon Rahm reflects on the lucky bounce en route to eagle

Jon Rahm had an amazing start at the 2023 Genesis Invitational. He was just a short behind the lead after the second round of the tournament.

The current World No.3 started second with an eagle on the first hole. He made four bogeys and three birdies on Friday. Rahm also made an eagle on the sixteenth hole and ended the day with a scoring deficit of nine. His shot on the 16th hole helped him close the day at 68.

Jon Rahm spoke up about his shots in his interview, saying:

"That’s arguably the best bounce I’ve seen in person my whole golf career, and it would be hard to beat in the future,” said Jon Rahm before adding “For those wondering, no, I did not call ‘bank.’ I don’t think anybody calls ‘bank’ in that situation.”

He went on to say:

"I feel like as golfers we get plenty of bad breaks in our lifetime. so to get one of those we should cherish it, because I won’t see something like this in a long time.”
