Billy Horschel details his painful struggles ahead of BMW PGA Championship - "I could barely make a golf swing some days"

After competing in the Tour Championship earlier this month, Billy Horschel is back competing on the DP World Tour. On September 19th, Horschel played Round 1 of the BMW PGA Championship and made a strong start to the tournament as he scored 5-under and is tied for fourth place currently.

After the play ended, Billy Horschel was part of a press conference in which he spoke about his game. In the press conference, Horschel was asked how he felt because the player had missed the Irish Open, citing an injury. The veteran golfer replied:

"Yeah, the back, muscle/rib, last two weeks, I could barely make a golf swing some days. I just needed an extra week at home to give it rest. I haven't done a lot, so still trying to look after it a little bit. But the swing, it feels a lot better. I haven't had any issues. Putting more time on the range, so far, so good. The muscle seems to be healing up a little bit and hopefully I don't have to deal with it anymore."
