“Blasphemy” – Shane Lowry surprised at interviewer being unaware of British rock band, expresses wish to ‘have a drink’ with them
Shane Lowry is one of the golfers who made it to the top 30 of the Tour Championship field, which means that he will be playing at the East Lake Golf Course for the next four days. Now, before that match began in Atlanta, Georgia, Lowry joined an interview.
In that interview, the Irishman was asked to pick a celebrity band with whom he'd like to grab a drink. Without any delay, Shane Lowry responded with 'Oasis', the classic rock band. However, Lowry was taken aback to learn that the interviewer didn't seem to know the band and never heard them. Remarking on the same, Lowry said (via his X handle),
“Blasphemy! This is going to make it good though,” Lowry hilariously remarked.
The showdown at East Lake will begin on Thursday and the winner of the FedEx playoffs will be announced on Sunday. Shane Lowry tees off at 12:49 pm ET with Adam Scott for the Thursday round. Next to them, Sungjae Im and Sahith Theegala will start at 1 pm.
