Brad Faxon and Mel Reid among NBC Sports 2024 Olympic golf broadcast team
Brad Faxon and Mel Reid will be part of NBC Sports' Olympic broadcast for 2024. When the athletic world heads to Paris, and golfers will be with them, there will be ample coverage devoted by the network with top personalities involved. Golf is one of many events being held at the 2024 Summer Olympics, and it will have its dedicated broadcast teams.
Per golf reporter Josh Carpenter, Steve Sands, Grant Boone, and Tom Abbott are slated for play-by-play roles for the men’s and women’s competitions. Sands is a PGA Tour broadcast veteran, and Boone and Abbott are frequent announcers for women's tournaments.
Faxon and Johnson Wagner are going to be the two main analysts for the men’s competition. Morgan Pressel and Reid will work on the women’s event this summer. Wagner and Reid have gained popularity recently for their quality work and have been rewarded with these roles.
John Wood and Karen Stupples will be on the course following groups of golfers, hoping to interview them and bring unique insight to the broadcast. Brandel Chamblee and Paige Mackenzie will be the main analysts in the booth for the men's and women's competitions, which will be on the Golf Channel and Peacock.
