Brooks Koepka’s wife Jena Sims gets excited for hockey’s return

The NHL season has started, and fans, including Brooks Koepka's wife Jena Sims, are excited for it. Sims recently shared her excitement with her fans on Instagram.

The NHL season began on Friday, October 4, and will continue until June 2025. The first two games were held between the Buffalo Sabres and the New Jersey Devils in Prague, Czech Republic, as part of the 2024 NHL Global Series. The Florida Panthers are the defending Stanley Cup champions.

The reigning champions played their first match of the season on Tuesday, October 8. Notably, Brooks Koepka and Jena are huge fans of the team. Ahead of the Panthers' game, Jena shared a transition video on Instagram.

The defending champions started their campaign on a high note as they defeated the Boston Bruins with a 6-4 win.

Why did the Florida Panthers' Aaron Ekblad curse Brooks Koepka during the Stanley Cup celebration?

A few months ago, the Florida Panthers won their first-ever Stanley Cup championship after posting a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

During the Stanley Cup win celebration, Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad yelled a message for Brooks Koepka while sporting a cone on his head.

"F**** you Brooks Koepka!" he said during the parade.

For those unfamiliar, it all began last year when Koepka called Ekblad a "f***ing cone" after his poor performance against the New York Raiders.

"Yeah, he gave up a bad goal I think midway through the third," Koepka said as per the Mirror. "I just felt like if they didn't win that game they weren't going to make the Playoffs."

However, the five-time major champion later reached out to Ekblad and apologized to him in person.

"He did what he did, and he apologised,” Ekblad said. “Holding ill will against somebody and pulling negativity in your body is never a good thing. At the end of the day, it's all just sports, right? We all get intense sometimes. It is what it is."

Ekblad and the Panthers will next compete against the Ottawa Senators on Friday, October 11. As for Koepka, he was last seen competing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where he tied for tenth.
