Brooks Koepka’s wife Jena Sims praises $350 shoes by 5-time Olympics gymnastics champion Nastia Liukin
Jena Sims, model and wife of golfer Brooks Koepka, may not be an Olympian but former star US gymnast Nastia Liukin's new shoe line seemingly gave her that feeling. Shoewear company APL recently released their limited edition line of shoes in collaboration with the 5-time Olympic medalist Liukin.
The shoes come in pink or rather fusion pink color along with a white, red, navy and black variant. For the unversed, Nastia Liukin was often spotted sporting pink which was her signature color in her competing days. She was wearing a pink leotard when she won her all-around gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The now-retired gymnast's recent collaboration with APL is seemingly in line with her image.
The shoe is a stunning slip-on suitable for running and is reportedly the company's lightest-ever running shoe design. It also boasts an elastic strap bedazzled with embossed Swarovski crystals along with a tiny medal at the back. Jena Sims seemingly received it as a PR package and was all praises for the shoe.
Sims put numerous stories on Instagram about it. She said that while she may not have competed at the Paris Olympics, the shoes were making her feel like she did.
"Before I even put them on my feet, look at the freaking detail. It's like Paris on the inside and I got a little medal! And obviously the glitter."
The limited edition shoes are currently priced at $350. According to APL's website, they are machine washable, vegan, perfect for travel, and suitable for running.
