Brooks Koepka’s wife Jena Sims shares the best advice she got from her husband: “It stuck with me”

US golfer Brooks Koepka's wife and model Jena Sims had founded a non-profit organization, Pageant of Hope, in 2005. The organization aims to "empower, celebrate and advocate for children facing challenges". Since then, she has been involved in several charitable causes and has organized initiatives through her non-profit.

Recently, Jena Sims took to Instagram to share about a special initiative she had helped with through Pageant of Hope. She was approached by Jupiter High Cheer members to partner with and create the first-ever inclusive cheerleading camp, Cheer INC!, in her hometown Jupiter. And the Sports Illustrated model was more than eager to do it.

Jena Sims shared a bunch pictures from the camp that took place at Palm Beach Lightning, a cheerleading gym in Florida. The pictures featured all the participants and Sims herself donning the same white T-shirts with a logo on them, as they practiced cheerleading with sparkly pompoms. Sims had paired her T-shirt with black Nike leggings and gray shoes and opted to leave her hair down.

In the caption, Jena Sims mentioned an advice she had received from her husband Brooks Koepka that had "stuck" with her. She further talked about "inclusion".

"One of the best bits of advice my husband ever gave me was "kill your category". I believe we fit in many different categories, but it stuck with me. The importance of inclusion is and has been something I’ve been drawn to since I was a teenager,"

The 35-year-old then added:

"When we were approached by the lovely gals at Jupiter High Cheer to partner and create the first ever Inclusive Cheer Camp (Cheer INC!) in our home town, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. Thank you Mackenzie and Sarah for trusting me and Pageant of Hope to bring this to life. We killed it."

All the kids in the camp looked happy and ecstatic to be there. It was truly an endearing initiative undertaken by Jena Sims.

US golfer Brooks Koepka's wife and model Jena Sims is no stranger to charitable activities. Alongwith founding her own non-profit organization, Pageant of Hope, in 2005, she has been involved in many initiatives over the years.

Back when, Brooks Koepka and Sims were expecting, the social meda personality had partnered with Baby Quest. It is an organization that helps parents who may not be able to afford surrogacy, IVF, egg freezing, sperm and egg donation or other fertility treatments. Baby Quest covers the cost for them. While promoting the association, she had spoken about it in an interview with US Weekly.

"Baby Quest is basically funding (and) grants for women who are trying to make a baby, whether it’s through IVF, it helps cover some of their medical costs or someone who’s single or just same-sex couples and someone who’s just unable to do so. That foundation is now near and dear to my heart and I hope we raise so much money to help women be able to make their own babies one day!"

There is an interesting story about how Jena Sims got involved with the organization. It was when she teamed up with jewelry designer Mignon Gavigan to create her own line of wing-shaped earrings. However, she wanted to bring a charitable aspect to the partnership, given the theme of the wings of the earrings.

"I was like, 'Oh, I would love to but let’s make it (with) a charitable element to it 'cause they’re wings. Let’s do it in support of women who are suffering pregnancy loss (or) infertility,"

She further added about how she got to know about Baby Quest and how she partnered with the organization.

“So I reached out to a friend of mine, Katrina Scott, who has been very public with like, her journey with IVF and I was like, do you know any charities that would be good to benefit from something that I’m doing? And she introduced me to Baby Quest and we actually just had a brunch luncheon event in LA and raised money for that charity,"

Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims met each other at the 2015 Masters but they were just friends back then. They made their relationship public at the 2017 US Open. In 2022, the couple had a beautiful beach wedding in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Their son, Crew, was born in 2023.

While Sims was a regular feature at the par-3 contest of the Masters, this year she was joined by Crew to support Brooks Koepka at Augusta National. This was the toddler's adorable first golf appearance. He had even sported Koepka's name on his back.
