Bryson DeChambeau returned to the LIV Golf Series to play at the Nashville event where he took a moment to thank his fans ahead of the tournament. In a pre-tournament press conference, DeChambeau thanked his fans for all their support and said (via LIV Golf):
"It was for them, those people that saw who I now am, who I am. That's what I wanted people to feel is that involvement, that appreciation from me saying thank you. It meant a lot."
The trophy is one of the most special parts of winning any tournament, and DeChambeau made sure to share it with his fans. After winning the Major, DeChambeau let fans touch the trophy to make them feel like they were a part of the win as well.
"That's why this was so important for everyone to touch the trophy. I wanted everybody to experience it because it wasn't just for me, it was for the turnaround, everyone looking at me going, wow, that person is different than what I thought," he said.
This is Bryson DeChambeau's second US Open win, with his first one coming in 2020. Despite his victory this weekend, DeChambeau failed to make the US Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics due to his comparatively low OWGR rank.
