Bryson DeChambeau says LIV Golf is ‘not where they want to be’ despite approaching its 100th competition day

Bryson DeChambeau stated that LIV Golf is not yet where it should be despite the series approaching its 100th competition day. The Saudi Circuit began with its inaugural event in 2022 and had another successful season in 2023.

As Saudi Circuit players gear up for the upcoming LIV Golf Andalucia event, Bryson DeChambeau shared his thoughts on the Saudi circuit's progress over the last two years. He acknowledged the event's growth but also highlighted that it's still "not where they want to be."

Speaking about LIV Golf's journey so far, DeChambeau said (via LIV Golf's YouTube channel):

"I'd say that moving an inch and ideating a mile is a lot better. If we're just barely moving even though it's moving in the right direction, but even though it's just slowly moving, not where we want to be, we've come a long way. We continue to move progressively, and those small incremental amounts are just going to start to dominate at some point. " (11:24-11:46)

Adding to his statement, Bryson DeChambeau expressed his enthusiasm for the journey so far and his anticipation of contributing to the circuit's success.

"I couldn't be more excited about these 100 days, 99 or whatever they have been so far...have been incredible. The journey has been awesome. And I'm excited to continue this progress and see what we can provide for the World of Golf," he added. (11:47-11:59)

Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson also highlighted the progress the series has made in two years and said:

"I think the progress, how far we've come, is what I like to focus on. We're not where we want to be, but sometimes, you have to identify progress. If you are improving your game, even if you're not winning, you need to identify the progress [and] say, 'look, I've come a long way in the last time period.
"We've come a long way in the last two years, and we're building momentum. We're not where we want to be, but we're on our way, and we've come a long way. I think it's important to identify the progress we've made." (11:00 - 11:24)

The LIV Golfers will tee off at this week's Andalucia event. The tournament will begin with its inaugural round on Friday, July 12, and conclude after three rounds on Sunday, July 15.
