Bryson DeChambeau shares the secret to his ‘short putter’ skill with $300M LIV Golf rival
Bryson DeChambeau has recently shared his short putt secrets with fellow LIV Golf star Phil Mickelson. The two-time major winner collaborated with Mickelson, who has a net worth of $300 million (via Celebrity Net Worth), for an exclusive Break 50 challenge.
DeChambeau has gained immense popularity because of his popular series on YouTube. So far, he has collaborated with the likes of Donald Trump, John Daly, Paige Spiranac, and Sergio Garcia, among others. For the latest episode of the series, he opted to play with HyFlyers captain Phil Mickelson.
DeChambeau and Mickelson not only played together but also engaged in in-depth discussions about the game, during which the former shared his short putt secrets with Mickelson. He said (at 4:29):
"I try to obviously line the dimples up; everybody knows about that. Secondly, I'm very precise with my aim, and then thirdly, I try to shake it straight back and straight through. So there's not very much; you don't really think much more else. And this should be just a little bit of a right-center putt, if anything; take it straight back, straight through, roll it right in the cup."
Notably, DeChambeau has enjoyed a successful season in 2024. Although he did not win any events on the Saudi Circuit, he clinched his second major title at the U.S. Open at the Pinehurst No. 2 golf course.
Aside from his impressive game on the greens, DeChambeau has been in the spotlight throughout the year for his social media content. He has famously collaborated with former U.S. President Donald Trump for the Break 50 challenge, and this collaboration has helped him garner a significant subscriber count on his channel.
DeChambeau's YouTube channel surpassed 1 million subscribers shortly after he posted the video with Trump. As of October 2024, he has over 1.55 million subscribers. His recent video with Mickelson, uploaded just two days ago, has already garnered 1.9 million views
