“But will there be a dress code?” – Fans react to Tiger Woods’ golf course design project announcement
Golf legend Tiger Woods has just announced that he is starting a new golf course design project at the Marcella Club in Pank City, Utah.
The announcement came on his official Twitter handle.
"I’m excited to announce my latest golf course design project at Marcella Club in Park City, Utah! The course will offer engaging play for every ability. My intent is to create a world-class golf experience to pair with Marcella Club’s vision for modern luxury living," Tiger Woods wrote on Twitter.
This announcement by Tiger Woods received a lot of reactions from the fans. Here's a look at several reactions to the news:
"Just added one more course to my bucket list."
"Time to plan a trip to Utah. Looks incredible."
"But will there be a dress code?"
"Very exciting - looks like an iconic Heathland #Moorland backdrop"
"Well I guess you have the “eye of the tiger” for golf course land."
"While you're in town, let's get you some @KURUFootwear for that nasty plantar fasciitis."
"I so wish to play at it. But I'm an elderly gentleman and we are on fixed income. I can't afford to play at a fancy course. Make courses affordable for all ! PGA needs to wake up for us who aren't on the rich man scale."
"More luxury homes that will be VRBOs 11 months out of the year while "progress" ruins once untouched countryside for locals and is modeled for city folk. Lovely"
"Nice replace beautiful nature so ultra rich can play golf near one of thier (their) vacation homes."
"You built a very nice course close to where I live in Texas. Unfortunately the initiation fee to join is over 100k. It would be nice if you made them affordable for the average income household."
"And more than likely Uber private so the normal person can’t play… Typical Tiger design."
'"Marcella Club will only offer 500 full golf memberships for 36 holes, making it one of the most exclusive golf clubs in Utah.'cool. cool cool cool."
"Not MY ability Tiger…I suck like a big gaping chest wound. Unless your fairways are a half mile wide and 50 yards long, leading up to bunkerless greens in a bowl with the hole in the low point and 3’ in diameter, you’ve not built this for me. But thanks for trying."
"Love the name 'Marcella', which happens to be my first name; you don't hear it often 👍 congratulations on another design."
Tiger Woods to miss WM Phoenix Open 2023
Fans will have to wait to see Tiger Woods in action, as the former World No.1 will not participate in this week's Waste Management Phoenix Open. He cited the reason of plantar fasciitis in his right foot received due to an injury.
Woods suffered a serious accident in 2021 which resulted in a prolonged absence from the golf course. Since his recovery from injuries, he has only participated in a limited number of tournaments, including the Masters and the 150th Open. He was last seen in Capital One's The Match alongside Rory McIlroy.
