He started with a round of 73, followed by a 68, and closed with another 73, finishing at 2-under par. Brooks Hansen finished in second place, with Henry Kuehne and Trey Farnworth rounding out the top four.
Notably, Charlie Woods had last played at the US Junior Amateur, where he struggled and missed the cut. He shot a 12-over 82 in the first round and a 10-over 80 in the second round, totaling 22 over par. The US Junior Amateur concluded on July 27, with Trevor Gutschewski winning the event.
