Delta Airlines commits to a 15% boost in flights to Augusta for the 2025 Masters

The 2025 Masters is likely to be a widely attended event in golf. It always is, as it's the first of four Majors and carries an air of prestige that some of the other annual tournaments don't have. It is also held at one of the most beloved golf venues in the United States, the Augusta National Golf Course.

In 2025, however, the tournament could be even more widely attended, as Delta Airlines has reportedly committed to a 15% boost in flights to Augusta, Georgia. It has now become even easier than ever before to travel to Augusta National for the tournament.

Delta is one of the official partners of the tournament and is set to increase their daily total of seats flying into Augusta by almost 2,000 according to Golf.com. This alleviates one of the major travel issues for this Major tournament.

Augusta is not a big city and it's two-and-a-half hours from Atlanta, the nearest major travel hub. For many, the only available option is to fly to Atlanta and then drive the rest of the way, but that's both an inconvenience and very difficult since traveling by air does not allow for one to use their ground vehicle afterward.

Joe Esposito, Delta’s SVP for network programming, said:

“As Delta celebrates its Centennial year, we’re proud to welcome Masters patrons to our home state of Georgia for the iconic Masters Tournament. With new service from Minneapolis and White Plains, and increased frequency from LaGuardia, we’re making it easier than ever to connect to this world-renowned event.”

This is the second major expansion to Delta's travel in and out of Augusta in the past few years, so they are committed to making it easier than ever to get to the 2025 Masters.
