Donald Trump's names favorite LIV golfer in Bryson DeChambeau’s new YT video, discusses Sergio Garcia’s failure
Donald Trump was featured on Bryson DeChambeau's YouTube channel in the latest Break 50 episode. During the episode, Trump spoke about various topics and revealed his favorite LIV golfer.
Trump, the 45th President of the USA, is once again running for office as the Republican candidate. Recently, he challenged President Biden to a golf round while questioning his golf skills. Although the face-off did not take place, Trump appeared on DeChambeau's channel and showcased his golf skills.
On Tuesday, July 23, the Break 50 episode featuring Trump was released. Towards the end of the video, Trump revealed that Patrick Reed was his favorite LIV golfer.
"I like Patrick Reed," he said, "He just looks like a golfing machine, right? And you know, I don't know; to me, he's just solid. He's as consistent as can be, and he's tough, nasty, and a great chipper."
Reed is a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour and has also won the Masters Tournament in 2018. He plays for Dustin Johnson's 4Aces GC on the LIV Golf circuit.
Last year, Reed and Trump played a match ahead of the LIV Golf Bedminster event. The former President had claimed that the duo beat Pat Perez and Peter Uihlein in that exhibition match.
"It just didn't work" - Bryson DeChambeau explains to Donald Trump about not being able to break 50 with Sergio Garcia
During the Break 50 episode with Donald Trump, Bryson DeChambeau detailed the inception of the series. He said he came up with this idea after he shot 56 with Garrett Clark of GM Golf and then broke 50 in the first episode with Clark. However, he further revealed that he had failed to break 50 since he had shot an episode with Sergio Garcia.
"It just didn't work," he expained. "It didn't work; there were a couple of holes that were too long. We actually played the whites; we didn't play the reds because we thought it would be too short. We thought, yeah, we wanted to give ourselves a really good challenge"
Besides, Garcia, the two-time US Open Champion, has shot the Break 50 videos with the likes of Grant Horvat, Martin Borgmeier, and Paige Spiranace.
Donald Trump and Bryson DeChambeau fell one shot shy of breaking 50 as they carded 22-under with the help of five eagles and twelve birdies. For the uninitiated, the ace golfer had pledged a donation of $10,000 for each shot under par. As a result, the pair donated $220,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project.
