"Fear is a great motivator" – Max Homa cites Kobe Bryant as he speaks about inspiration ahead of Genesis Invitational
Max Homa is all excited about the 2023 Genesis Invitational Open, scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 16, and run through Sunday, February 19.
The tournament features the most star-studded field of the year. Tiger Woods will compete alongside friends Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas at the event.

Ahead of the tournament, Max Homa revealed that he drew inspiration from Kobe Bryant. He said:
"Kobe Bryant talked about it. Fear is a great motivator. And I think that fear of failure and that fear of losing your job and winning again if you use it in the right way, can be incredibly beneficial to your career. It makes me want to work harder."
He went on to say:
"It makes me, after Torrey, immediately get nervous about going to Phoenix and maybe not playing well. And then that keeps me on my toes. So, I think all those things become good when you're using them in the right way."
Max Homa recently won the Farmers Insurance Open held at Torrey Pines. He defeated Keegan Bradley by two shots in the final round of the six-under-par 66. He is looking ahead to his second win of the year at the 2023 Genesis Invitational.

Max Homa is very popular among his fans, and they want him to win the the 2023 Genesis Invitational. The PGA Tour posted a video on their social media, and fans jumped into the comment section to wish him luck for the tournament. They wrote:
