First six members of the 2024 International Presidents Cup team explored ft. Tom Kim
On Sunday, August 25, the automatic qualifiers for the 2024 International Presidents Cup team were decided following the conclusion of the BMW Championship. The top six finishers in the International points standings are set to compete at the biennial event next month.
The 2024 Presidents Cup is scheduled to take place at the Royal Montreal Golf Club from September 26 to 29. While Mike Weir is leading the International squad, Jim Furyk is the captain of the U.S. squad. Each team will comprise twelve players, with six of them qualifying automatically.

Six players who qualified for the 2024 International Presidents Cup
1) Hideki Matsuyama
Hideki Matsuyama is set to compete in the biennial event for the sixth time. He topped the points list after winning the Genesis Invitational and the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Additionally, he won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.
Although Matsuyama's record for the International Team stands at 7-10-5, he will be hoping to improve it this time around.
2) Tom Kim
Tom Kim has qualified for the second straight time after a couple of top-ten finishes, including a runner-up finish at the Travelers Championship this season.
Tom Kim put on an impressive show during the 2022 Presidents Cup. He went 2-3 for the week and one of his wins came in Saturday afternoon’s Four-ball matches. He made a 10-foot birdie putt on the last hole to beat Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay.
3) Sungjae Im
Sungjae Im is set to compete in his third straight Presidents Cup after registering eight top-ten finishes this PGA Tour season.
Im has an overall record of 5-3-0 at the biennial tournament and remains undefeated in Sunday singles.
4) Jason Day
Jason Day is set to feature in his fifth Presidents Cup and for the first time since 2017. He has made four top-10 finishes this season, including a T4 at the Wells Fargo Championship.
The 36-year-old Australian has a 5-11-4 record for the International team. His best result came in 2013 when he went 3-1-1.
5) Adam Scott
Adam Scott is set to make his 11th start for the International Team, placing him second only to Phil Mickelson, who has 12 appearances. Scott recorded four top-ten finishes this season, including runner-up finishes at the Genesis Scottish Open and the BMW Championship.
The 44-year-old Australian has scored 21 points in 49 matches and holds a record of 18-25-6.
6) Ben An
Ben An will make his second appearance at the biennial event and his first since 2019. Last time, he went 1-2-2 at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
An has secured five top-ten finishes this season, including a runner-up finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
