"Flying with a kid is infinitely worse"- Max Homa opens up about relatable yet hilarious toddler troubles
Max Homa opened up about parenting in a recent interview on the "No Laying Up" podcast. The American golfer welcomed his first child with his wife Lacey in 2022. The couple was blessed with a baby boy named Cam Andrew Homa.
Recently, Max Homa appeared on an episode of the "No Laying Up" podcast, where he talked about how he and his wife handle life with their toddler. He revealed that he generally doesn’t enjoy flying with his child, noting that it is “infinitely worse.”
Speaking about his experience with parenting, Homa said (via Spotify at 3:24):
"I'm not sure, a lot of heart out of my wife. It is really difficult. I obviously would never change a thing. I love what I do and you know all of this is very fun. I didn't like flying before. That was the least favorite part of my job, flying with a kid is infinitely worse. It's definitely the hardest bit. Now I like flying when he's not there, it's like I'm I always joking like you know tell the plane to go around another loop. I haven't watched a movie in forever and I'm sitting there just vegging out. So it's very hard."
Max Homa is happily married to Lacey Croom. The couple tied the knot in 2019 after dating for six years. Homa’s wife works in real estate and is licensed to work in Arizona and California.
Interestingly, when Max Homa made his Instagram debut, his first post was a picture with his wife, where he wrote:
"First IG post is of my beautiful new wife because 1) I love her and she always comes first, and 2) I’ve enjoyed being married and don’t wanna sleep on the couch tonight."
Max Homa is active on social media and has around 723K followers on Instagram.
Max Homa shared parenting advice with new dad Scottie Scheffler
The current World No. 1 golfer, Scottie Scheffler, welcomed his first child with his wife Meredith earlier this year in May. Max Homa had some perfect advice for the new dad, suggesting that the two-time Masters winner should "be really nice to your wife." He humorously advised Scottie to watch his back and recommended managing his time well.
Homa said (via Fox News):
"Man, be really nice to your wife. Find a thing that you are good at, that you can help as best you can. Watch your back. Dad back is a real thing. But I think, I mean I’m sure he’ll just be giving me advice soon because he’s so good at everything. Just being really good with your time."
Meanwhile, both Homa and Scottie Scheffler are competing in this week's FedEx St. Jude Championship. The tournament started on August 15, and after two rounds, Scottie Scheffler is in solo fourth place, while Homa has struggled with his game, finishing in 70th place. The PGA Tour event will conclude on Sunday, August 18.
