Former Masters champion details playing with 65-year-old Fred Couples - “Still flushes it!”

Former Masters winner Trevor Immelman shared his experience of playing with Fred Couples. Immelman and his son Jacob recently competed at the 2024 PNC Championship. They had a modest outing at the renowned family event, which wrapped up with its finale on Sunday, December 22.

On December 27, Trevor Immelman reshared a video of Fred Couples' golf swings on his X (formerly Twitter) account and shared his experience of playing with Fred Couples, writing:

"Played with him on Sunday, still flushes it! So good."

For the final round of the 2024 PNC Championship on Sunday, Fred Couples and his stepson Hunter Hannemann paired up with Team Immelman.

How did Fred Couples and Trevor Immelman play at the 2024 PNC Championship?

Team Immelman and Team Couples had a decent outing at the 2024 PNC Championship. Trevor Immelman and his son Jacob started on Saturday, December 21, with three back-to-back birdies on the first three holes. They later carded another birdie on the sixth hole and then shot four birdies on the back nine for a round of 8-under 64.

However, after a good start, they struggled in the second round and shot 5-under 67 with five birdies. With a total of 13-under, Team Immelman settled in 17th place at the PNC Championship.

Meanwhile, Team Couples tied for 15th after two rounds. They started the game with a solid round of 8-under 64 in the opening round, with team Couples shooting two birdies on the front nine on Saturday and six on the back nine.

In the second round, they made five birdies on the front nine and a birdie on the back nine for an impressive round of 6-under 66. Team Couples tied for 15th place in a tie with Team Trevino.

Meanwhile, Team Langer and Team Woods were tied for the lead after two rounds at 28-under. They headed for a playoff where Team Langer made an eagle on the par-5 18th of the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, while Team Woods made a birdie. It was ultimately Team Langer who defended their title in the event.
