Gary Player reveals the unique way he picks his PNC Championship teammate

Legendary golfer Gary Player will be seen teeing off with his grandson, Alexander Hall, at the PNC Championship this weekend. The former recently took to social media to share his unique way of selecting his partner at the tournament.

Player posted pictures of Hall when he was a kid and now, revealing that the "young man" had recently won the annual Player Family Challenge. His victory meant that he would accompany the nine-time Major champion at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club this week. Player wrote:

"This young man was victorious at our annual Player Family Challenge, not only for bragging rights but also to play alongside his grandfather at the PNC Championship. One of the best events on TOUR. Look forward to seeing many of you in Orlando throughout this weekend. GP,"

This would mark Alexander Hall's debut at the PNC Championship. While not much is known about his golfing background, it will be interesting to see what he pulls off in Florida this weekend. After all, his ability is Gary Player approved.

The PNC Championship will take place in Orlando, Florida, from December 19th to 22nd, 2024. The prize purse is $1,085,00, with the winning team's share being $200,000. The event will be broadcast live on Golf Channel and Peacock. Here's the full streaming schedule:
