Golf fans can see WNBA Star Caitlin Clark’s practice session live as Golf Channel expands coverage

According to reports, the LPGA and Golf Channel plan to capitalize on WNBA star Caitlin Clark’s presence at the Annika next week. Golf Channel is reportedly set to expand coverage so that fans can watch the WNBA star’s practice session from home.

Caitlin Clark is one of the most popular faces of the WNBA, and now she is set to make her golf debut at the Annika. She will participate in the pro-am, which will take place on Wednesday, November 13, at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

On Friday, November 8, Josh Carpenter of Sports Business Journal reported that the LPGA Tour and Golf Channel are set to broaden coverage of the Indiana Fever’s point guard’s pro-am round at the Annika. Fans will be able to livestream her practice, and a walk-and-talk interview is also expected.

Carpenter further reported that Clark's warm-up session at Pelican Golf Club will be live-streamed by the tournament's social media handles. Besides, Golf Channel's Golf Today will begin coverage at 11 am ET on Wednesday, instead of the usual 12:30 pm ET, to show highlights from Clark's round.

When will Caitlin Clark tee off at the Annika Pro-Am?

Caitlin Clark is paired with Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam for the Annika Pro-Am and will tee off on Wednesday at 7 am ET. She will play alongside Korda on the front nine, while tournament host Sorenstam will join her on the back nine. Before the Pro-Am, she will also attend the Women's Leadership Summit on Tuesday, November 12, which is expected to be live-streamed on NBC.

Earlier, Clark expressed her love for the game and her excitement to play alongside LPGA Tour legends.

"I love golf so the opportunity to play in the Pro-Am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting," she said in her official statement.
"Gainbridge is a leader in supporting women’s sports and that’s clear through their commitment to me, this event, Billie Jean King, and Parity Week. I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika," she added.

The main tournament will begin on Thursday, November 14, with the likes of Korda, Lydia Ko, Charley Hull, Lilia Vu, and Rose Zhang teeing off at Pelican Golf Club. Vu is the defending champion, while Korda has won here twice in the past.
