“He makes golf really boring” - Xander Schauffele gives his hot take on ‘monster’ Scottie Scheffler’s game

Xander Schauffele is one of the top-ten golfers of the 70-member field playing at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. He currently sits at T5 on the leaderboard along with Scottie Scheffler, who lauded Schauffele's game after the first round on Thursday, August 15.o

At a press conference, Schauffele was asked what he liked about Scheffler's game. Calling the World No. 1 a "monster," Schauffele said he barely misses a shot and that every golfer wants to be like him.

“Just now playing with him a little bit more, played a lot of rounds with him at the Olympics, he really doesn't miss a shot often. His golf ball is either, like, perfect or it's like a three- or four-yard pull or three- or four-yard push. If he's got good sight lines with Teddy, it seems like he's always in the fairway and always in the hole,” Xander Schauffele said (via ASAP Sports).
“He makes golf really boring, which is what all of us really want to do because tee to green he's a monster, and now he's making putts, so it's great for everyone else…something to strive for. When all of us are playing really well, we make it look pretty easy and boring, as well, and that's what we shoot for. He just does it more often," he added.

Xander Schauffele shot three birdies from holes one to three and dropped another on par-5 hole 16. His total stands at 66.
