The BMW Championship is the next big event on the golf calendar following the conclusion of the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship. This year's edition of the 50-man tournament will be played between August 22 and August 25 at the Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado.
Ahead of the BMW Championship, the playoff picture for the FedEx Cup is shaping up with increased FedEx Cup points up for grabs at each tournament. The winner of the BMW Championship will receive 2000 FedEx Cup points.
The player who finishes second at the BMW Championship will receive 1200 FedEx Cup points whereas a third-place finish grants 760 FedEx Cup points. Along with these points, the top three golfers will also receive lucrative cash prizes with the purse set at $20 million.

Golfers competing at the upcoming BMW Championship will be eyeing the Tour Championship. The golfers who finish in the top 30 of the competition this week will qualify for the Tour Championship which will be held between August 29 and September 1 at the East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta, Georgia.
